My Life (in 2 minutes)
My name is Father Jared Johnson and I am the full-time chaplain and religion teacher at St. Mary's Central High School (SMCHS) in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Born and raised in Williston, North Dakota, I graduated from Williston High School in 2005. My parents and brothers live in Williston, a place where I will always call home.
I was ordained a Catholic priest for the Diocese of Bismarck by Bishop David D. Kagan on June 13th, 2013. I began my assignment at SMCHS and the Cathedral on July 1st, 2013. I served as the associate pastor at the Cathedral until June 30, 2017. On July 1, 2017, I became the full-time chaplain of SMCHS.
I love being a priest and a teacher! On a day when I am not in the classroom, I love to spend time outside which includes, but is not limited to: running, golfing, kayaking, hunting, fishing, snow skiing, water skiing, camping, snowmobiling, spending time with family and friends, enjoying a cup of coffee always and anywhere, and taking my border collie, Tobin, for a walk!
This site is designed primarily for students and parishioners to access homilies and other documents related to my classes.
